The hotel and staff was excellent food was great and hot for a buffet drink reasonable price for a hotel would recommend this hotel

Found the front of house team on reception to be quite rude. They made us feel completely unwelcome as we were checking in, making negative comments about us just staying one night. We had also rang ahead to confirm which day we would use the full board lunch and we were advised we could use it on either the day we checked in or checked out. When I mentioned this at check-in I was told this wasn't policy and was repeatedly asked who I'd spoken to on the phone despite me saying I hadn't got a name. I then rang again when, on getting back to my room in the evening the room was unbearably hot. I couldn't get the air-con to work. I rang reception, who told me, again very rudely, that it wasn't working and there was nothing they could do. We ended up sleeping with the balcony door open all night and all of us were completely bitten by mosquitos in the morning. By contrast the restaurant and kids' club team (Sofia especially) were AMAZING. Super-friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice but overcrowded, especially as it was off-season. Can't imagine what it would be like in August! The main restaurant was a nice setting and the food was good in the buffet. The lunch we had in the pool bar however was HORRENDOUS. I got a prawn and mango salad, which was - shockingly - made from tinned mangoes and frozen prawns with a sickly-sweet dressing. The patatas bravas and fries were undercooked. We left the lot.

Our staff is usually described as friendly and helpful and we sincerely regret any moment to the contrary. We are glad to hear that you found the staff in the restaurant and the Miniclub to be helpful. The air-conditioning is centralized and set to heating in the winter. The last couple of days were a little warmer than usual; however the temperatures have already dropped again to 20ºC maximum and 11 to 14ºC at night. With these temperatures most of our guests prefer the heating, which is also what we advertise. Nevertheless we thank you for your point of view and will keep this in mind. We also regret that the food in the pool bar was not to your liking and that you did not inform us about this whilst you were here, in order to find and possible solution for you and improve your stay.Please know that it has been a pleasure to have you with us. A very tired hotel in need of renovation or at least a good clean. Furniture was worn and dirty and cleaning staff doing everything they can to not clean your room.

Cleanliness is very important to us and, having passed all health and safety inspections with flying colours, we would have very much appreciated if you had told about any detail that we might have missed, so that it could have been dealt with swiftly.As far as renovations are concerned, we inform you over the last few years, the entrance hall, the reception, the lobby bar, the Alborán restaurant, the Thalassa restaurant, the Ocean Junior Suites and the Sea View rooms have all been refurbished as well as the Wi-Fi system, the key system and many other features. The plan is to continue during our annual closing in November and December. First time in the area, amazing infrastructure close to the highway. In summer probably is something close to the paradise.

Dated property. Rooms had no coffee machine, would have to rent for 18€a day if wanted. To use an iron or steamer you had to pay a deposit. At the restaurant they charge you for a glass of water. Dinner only option is a less than mediocre buffet. Lunch was sit down and fairly good. There is absolutely nothing around the hotel so to get any good food you need a car or to use taxi.

In all other room categories this is an optional extra, currently available for 10 per day with daily replenishment. We do not have irons. We offer either an ironing service or indeed a steamer, which can be collected at reception against a deposit, which is returned in full when the steamer is returned.Water is available in the restaurant only in bottles, it is not sold by the glass. You may also get water free of charge from the dispensers in Thalassa Restaurant (08:30-19:00) or in the lobby bar (0:00-24:00). Furthermore, our H10 members will find fruit and water in their room upon arrival. Our buffet restaurant Alborán is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Alternatively at lunch time there is also the a la carte restaurant Thalassa by the pool and twice a week we offer special dinners with table service in the Thalassa restaurant. These special dinners have to be reserved with our customer service. Our hotel is located on the beachfront, with direct access to the pebble beach as well as to a stretch of beach side promenade. We are about 1.5km from the port of Estepona with its bars and restaurants and 2.5km from the old town. There is a public bus that leaves 150m from the hotel every 40 minutes and stops at in the port as well as in the old town amongst other stops. Alternatively our guests may rent bikes at our reception, where we will also be happy to call you a taxi.Please know that it has been a pleasure to have you with us.
