Not enjoyable stay at Clarion
Posted 10 Mar 2024 on HotelsHotel is very tired, staff are not welcoming. Manager (In all black suit around kitchen area) seemed to walk around looking angry and very unwelcoming.
Food is cheaply made, hot dog sausages in a curry is not food for a hotel of this stature. If included or not in the hotel price.
Hotel rooms very tired and no headboard which reminds me of a student accomodation, not for a hotel that charges 1500 a night.
Hit and miss on staff being friendly and welcoming. Not consistent.

The hotel is in a good location, near a park on the river. An evening meal is included, and it was very good--much more substantial than I expected. The staff was very helpful and our room was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice location, but missing features
Posted 21 Jun 2021 on HotelsWe stayed in a family room. The air quality was very poor. It seemed like there was absolutely no ventilation. They had a fan running when we got in the room, that should have likely been our first indication that we were in for a warm night. Really difficult to sleep. It had been 30 degrees that day and the room was at least that as well.
The guy working the front desk told us that children’s food couldn’t be ordered during the dinner, but said that there was likely something the kids could eat…there wasn’t…I had asked beforehand so that the kitchen could have it ready so we could all eat together at 18:00. Anyway, kids didn’t eat…I asked the woman working the bar if there was anything for children and she said there was actually a children’s menu. So we ordered from that, she saved the evening for us. We just had to pay for it separately. But just for all the families out there thinking of staying here, just talk to the Bart ending staff, cause the guy at the front was uninformed.
