Great Place to Stay. Muy Bueno.

Beautiful stay. Cabins look like they are straight out of the 1970s which I thought added a nice touch to it. Appliances all worked well and was comfy. Very clean inside, and the area around it was really beautiful. We will most likely be back as we go up north to Minnesota once or more times a year.

Bumped room
Posted 3 Oct 2023 on HotelsI was reserving a cabin not a motel room. When I made my reservation they sent me a picture of the cabin I reserved. When I got there they said oh no they only have a room in the motel. I said that was not what I reserved! I strongly believed that they bumped us to the motel room for a better reservation. That ticked me off. We heard the people upstairs all 3 nights!

Even though we could only stay for a night we really did enjoy it! The area was cozy and very clean! I went down to explore the docks. The docks are in need of repairs or replacement. But i also understand getting to that can be difficult and pricey. I hope they can redo them soon! Otherwise we certainly would LOVE to come again. Maybe bring the kids when they are older also.

Unfortunately the property quality was not what was presented in the booking. The room had visible stains on the floor, no AC, very dated (rusty and broken) appliances. The couch had a piece of plywood to give it stability to sit on. Not that it’s necessary, but disclose it, there was no TV in the room either.
We stayed on a rainy weekend and left the property early. Very uncomfortable.

Was very friendly even though we didn't meet face to face. I was surprised on how old the building was and very impressed on how maintained and clean it was. Will be recommending and staying again. Yes, there was no t.v. and I was fine with that it made more relaxing and peaceful.

Another great stay at Silver Rapids
Posted 15 Sep 2023 on HotelsI have been coming to Silver Rapids my whole life. My stay in one of the motel suites was perfect, except for the coffee pot, which was very old and did not look safe--I told them about it upon departure and they said it would be replaced immediately, and I had brought my own instant coffee so it wasn't an issue during my stay.
I love the rustic nature of the resort, nothing more than the necessities. I could stand on my balcony and watch the water while I brushed my teeth, or just sit on my sofa and enjoy the stillness of the woods. I always enjoy going for walks around the property, through the gravel pit around back, where this time, I ran into a deer! Not literally, of course, but I turned a corner and there it was, just twenty yards away. A dream of mine, come true. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the resort is just my idea of perfection, really.
