This place is good if you want to stay away from the crowd and noise. It's literally located by the beach so you can go for a swim if you want and there are places along the beach where you can rent a kayak and kayak to nearby beaches. You can also find cheaper tours along the beach compared to the ones in town. Our room was pretty basic- AC, big bed, clean bathroom (although the warer pressure was terrible so we just grabbed a pale. Easier to shower). Something weird with the water. We had to let it run a few times because the water coming out of the sink and shower was.. brown... it cleared up after 10mins but thought it was weird and it happened a few times. There was no mini fridge like other places so everytime we bought our own drinks like bottled water etc we couldnt kerp it cold. Also, they don't provide a kettle in your room (other places do) so you can't make your own coffee etc. You have to buy it from the restaurant upstairs. The bar downstairs has good happy hours from 4-7pm. They do buy 1 get 1 free on selected cocktails and get a free appetizer if you buy a bucket of beer. You can get better food elsewhere. There are a lot of options just along the road or you can catch a 50 peso tuk tuk to town. Overall we gad a good experience. All the staff especially both receptionists are friendly and accommodating.

We had the #6 bungalow that had a front porch view of the ocean - amazing sunsets can be seen from here! It was definitely rustic and there’s no tv or phone in the room which was quite refreshing. The bed was pretty comfortable. Staff was very helpful and the restobar had good food and moderately priced drinks. They were frequently out of items but that is to be expected in El Nido.

Great Beachside Location

My stay was very comfortable. The cute little hut/villa was clean, great airconditioning and the best hot water I have experienced in my 2 years travels through PH. The sunset views are amazing. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would definetly stay there again. Good value for money.

Holes in floor and rusty nails sticking out

Posted 7 Jan 2019 on Hotels
Rented an air conditioned unit. If you want A/C, there are no windows. You are in a wood box. The wooden floor had holes in it covered in clear tape. The railing on the front porch had missing pieces with rusty nails sticking out. Paid for 4 nights, left after one with no refund. First time I have checked out early from a hotel because of the condition of the property. One of the worst places I have ever stayed.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Every one is very nice. Manager Shion, Ana, Chef Gina, Mick and the rest of the staff. They accommodate all our needs. . The location is perfect. Having sea front breakfast and sunsets view dinner. Precious!! We like the cottages style sorrounded with plants and fruits trees. Quiet at night and safe. Place is accessible to town with tricycles. Thank you very much Shion you made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. My friend were very happy. Plenty of clothesline to hang our clothes too. I will definitely recommend this place. We are from California ❤️❤️❤️

Hotel name is not greenwoods!

Posted 28 Dec 2017
It was very confusing when we got a tricycle from the boat to Greenwood’s as no one knows where it is because the sign out the front and the name that all the tricycle drivers know it as is Greenviews. It took us ages to find. We finally only found it because the pictures on the sign were similar to what we had seen online. The room had one bed and we had requested twins anf ir was very damp smelling with lots of mosquitoes. The weather was terrible when we were there and with bad weather Greenwood’s/views had no WiFi. Which is usually not a problem but when you’re traveling and need to plan things it is. It’s a 50 peso and about 10 min tricycle ride out of town. Which is good to get away from the busy town but a bit annoying when it’s torrential rain and you need to go places in town. Food was ok.

Has potential.

Pros: The reception area
Cons: Lots, it needs an upgrade especally the water pressure
Location: There some bars and restraunts to walk to but I stayed here two nights and the second night i took a taxi to El Nido town proper.
The pictures of this resort make it look much better than it is. I got a beach front room but I would not call it that. You really cannot see the beach as there is a large fence blocking you view. Also the best in not very nice in this area. You cannot swim and it is not a very clean beach to walk. The staff is very friendly but the resort is in need an upgrade. The beds, blankets and towels are old and need to be replaced. There also is not much water pressure in the shower and it never get hot. The best thing about the resort is where the reception is. They have a deck up there where you can get great views of the sunset.
