The hotel was good, clean and staff were pleasant. However the parking was rediculously priced.

The location of the Matrix is fantastic as it is walkable to many great restaurants and downtown Edmonton events. However, over the last couple of years we have noticed that it is getting more and more run down, and certain "perks" are no longer available; such as the breakfast. The outside parkade and outside area around by Starbucks is very dirts, littered with cigarette butts. We also noticed that only two small pillows are provided per bed now, hard to get comfy to watch TV. In lieu of this, I do feel that the value/quality do not match.

Fantastic and I’ve slept better than I have in months. The only critique is the almost comically slow elevators which require consideration before leaving for wherever you need to be.

This is an older hotel with not so high end renovations. Is within walking distance to most downtown attractions.

I like the location of this property as is close to family I visit. It's a decent hotel at typically a good price point. Its in decent condition overall. What I don't love is the price of parking and the free breakfast went to $18 tax but I think that is common with the majority of hotels that had offered this perk. Also it is not part of any loyalty program so don't build any perks or recognition no matter how much you stay there. The junior and platinum suites space is nice.

Over all was it was a good hotel, just I hope there was a visible sign that they have a gym in the third floor, I only found out in my last day of checkout.
