Very nicely appointed and staff were excellent. Lots of easy close shopping and dining.

The hotel was nice, clean, well decorated. Staff was really really nice and allowed us to drop bags off early. When we returned, they had already taken our backpacks to our room, which was nice because we were completely exhausted and the room was on the third floor (no elevator). Had we brought all our luggage, it would have taken us forever to get large suitcases up those stairs one at a time. Our room was lovely, but pretty small…kinda seemed like an attic. The bathroom was a good size, but the shower was TINY.

The property was a labyrinth of staircases and difficult to lug all baggage through (there are no elevators). The flush wasn’t working and the staff was absolutely apathetic about this. We had to wait a night to have it repaired which is fine - but there was no service recovery or appeasing gesture. The phone to call reception wasn’t working either so to talk to reception (which was often because nothing worked in the room) you had to hike across the various staircases. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent location and our view of the city was lovely! Friendly staff as well. We enjoyed our short stay. We didn’t mind the stairs but they could be difficult for someone with mobility issues.

Early check in was wonderful. So happy to have that after traveling all night by plane. Front desk was also helpful & wonderful. Would have loved help with my bag up/down stairs and it would be helpful to have a few toothbrushes, paste and other toiletries at the front desk for purchase.

We had a very nice stay at The Place. Rooms are small, showers even smaller. All in all nice to put your head down at night.

Ideally located hotel for the train station and great local food, drink and shopping options. Spacious room, staff always happy to help. Hotel bar closes very early which is a shame as it's where you'd expect to have a late drink before heading to bed.

Only had a very short stay, but overall the hotel seemed nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was surprised that the hotel did not have a lift, but that is my fault for not reading the amenities available or in this case not available.
