We were there in January. We did a little walking but was cold. Think it will be prettier in spring summer and fall.

Dear Guests, I do not think that this is the right place to comment on that it is dark and cold in the winter and that it is no sommer weather in the winter time.
I did my best to help you find activities to do, but the weather conditions is unfortunatly not something that a hotel can impact on.

Nice Stay

Pros: Quaint and clean
Cons: Lighting in the shower would be nice and a tea pot for the room.
Location: Close to Bamberg
We had a nice stay, nothing fancy, just the basics, but very clean and the hotel clerk was wonderful, very nice. We checked in and received a bottle of water, very nice. There is no tea pot in the rooms, so if you want tea in the evening, you have to order in the restaurant, and they close at 2000. I would recommend a tea pot for the rooms. Beds were comfortable, shower was very small and no light over the shower, only light in the bathroom was over the sink, so it was a little dark to shower. Breakfast was very good, typical continental breakfast. This was a nice place to stay, nothing near by to eat so we ate in their restaurant, which was okay.

Thanks for the review.
It is not mandatory to have a tea pot in the room. I have not put one in the room as I cannot secure how it is used and considering hygiene I rather provide coffee or tea from the restaurant.
The restaurant is not closed at 20, it is only that the kitchen is offering smaller dishes and drinks after 20. Sorry about this.
