charming area, beautiful scenery
Posted 6 Sep 2016
Pros: It has an interesting history and retains some of the original charm. The beverage cafe was a treat and fresh cookies in the morning were delish.
Cons: update the website to show what the rooms look like now. Needs TLC and new linens.
Location: Eagles Mere is a quaint small town with a beautiful small lake, ice cream shoppe, a few shops and restaurants. Very clean, charming community.
There were a few good things and a few bad things about our overnight stay at the Crestmont Inn. I booked a room on Expedia which stated we had the Signature Studio (The Blue Spruce) Suite with fridge. I thought that was pretty cool because the price was $129 which was cheaper then what I've seen on other sites.
When we arrived the women took us to our room which was not the room I booked. I immediately went to the front desk to ask about the change and was told that the only room they had left was the Oliver Garden for $129 which was the room we were in. I explained that I booked on Expedia and showed them a copy of the confirmation. Another women behind the desk said they hate Expedia and that they never get the booking correct.
Ok, so is that my problem? Also the Oliver Garden on the Crestmont Inn's webpage looks nothing like the room we were staying in. I mean absolutely NOTHING like the picture on their site. The picture on the site was filled with antiques, brass bed, warm colors and a country decor. This room had a purple wall and black particle board furniture. They said there was nothing they could do because they were totally booked for the weekend. This place has great possibilities but it falls short in many areas.
The good things are the restaurant - food was excellent, the common room in the inn with ping pong, pool table, games, books, tv, screened porch . . . . and the coffee/tea/cafe.
This Inn could be so much better, it's all about attention to details.

Don't expect too much
Posted 21 Aug 2016 on HotelsWe reserved a two bedroom suite and also a studio for 6 of us. The inn was very old, outdated and absolutely no sound proofing. The studio was very dark because it had no sunlights coming in whatsoever, just a small musty space with a bed. Becareful if you reserve the room through an external website where the room rate and the taxes are already calculated in the total because they will charge you tax on top of that AGAIN.

further from lake than we were led to believe.

Pros: The food was EXCELLENT... best meals and choices...
Cons: Rooms should be updated and made to be more light and less dank and musty...
Location: the lake is great .. the town is cute and well maintained... not much to do there..
Our first room was HORRIBLE... bed was bad and it smelled bad. So we upgraded and the suite we moved to was much nicer and we enjoyed our stay after that. The lake was very nice and the town is very nice with lots of charm.

Away from it all
Posted 10 Jul 2016 on HotelsSoap pads are worthless.......way too small to wash ones body. The single chair in our room was very small and ready to fall apart. Lovely area, room disappointing. Breakfast was great .

Lovely spot
Posted 4 Jul 2016 on HotelsWe love to stay here. The food in the restaurant is excellent. Some might find the rooms a little run down, but we call it charming. Lake privileges, which includes a lovely trail around the lake, and beach, are included. The staff is very attentive. There is free 24 hour coffee, soda, and water. Definitely recommend.

A bad experience
Posted 12 Jun 2016 on HotelsA busted up hotel that needs major renovation. Room was dirty with cracked sink and rickety banister to walk up stairs. The online photos look nothing like the actual rooms.
