Lovely stay and nice to use the pool. Really appreciated the upgrade too. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Stayed in an accessible room which was well appointed, though it would have benefited from a couple more accessible shelves as the drinking glasses were next to the toilet. Would have like a fridge in the room.
I felt the breakfast was too expensive but it was good.

Easy to get too with onsite parking.
Staff are very accommodating and the facilities are easy to access.
We stayed overnight and enjoyed a spa day following.
Would stay again

Not what I expected at all. The hotel was tired and very bland. No different than a travel lodge - other than price. Would not stay again. Disappointing.

Was absolutely lovely stay, just weren't given walk around or hasn't been navigated... no one asked me if I'm here firt time or not and literally I couldn't find my door number as it was not 1234 my number were right in the end when number before my number were in the middle of the corridor, I were very tired when I arrived, had practical almost like an exam day l day, had a long drive in the morning and had to go back all the way for a help, were asking reception where is restaurant and which way is the spa, (just an advise for future...) : In the same time while doing check-in could show with the hand what can you do in here for example if you like to have a spa or which way is the restaurant just show it so guests wouldn't need to keep ringing or coming back and asking every separate thing over and over again x It's time consuming x Food was brilliant!

Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. Thank you!
Unfortunately, no hot water on the evening of our stay, so I was unable to have a bath/shower. Room was a bit chilly mainly because the windows let in a draught. It was, however, an exceptionally cold evening outside.
Lovely views across the River Wear, castle and cathedral from the window, so worth paying extra for that.
