Bathroom was not clean. Black mould in shower and room very dated. But room was very cheap

This was the only place to stay on our walk between two churches and we were really grateful to find it! It was fine, warm, loads of hot water, reasonably clean, but kind of had the feel of a slightly unloved motel - nobody had scrubbed the grout in the bathroom recently, the taps swivelled alarmingly when you tried to use them. The rooms were surprisingly quiet given the hotel sits on a roundabout and the view across the fields was great.
Some of the staff were lovely and friendly.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
bathroom is bit tired looking.
1st time I have ever said the shower was too hot and I could not get it cool enough to use, but bath only took seconds to fill up.
Very good value for money.

I paid £11.50 for the breakfast. When they brought it, it was having a long hair on the top of egg and sausage like a ribbon.. so couldn’t have breakfast. Horrible to start the day with hairy breakfast…
