We always enjoy staying at the Royal County. Lovely rooms, super comfortable, and well thought-out touches. Staff are always helpful, polite and friendly. Good breakfast.

Interesting property, with unique hallways inside. Great area for walking around and exploring.
David, at the front desk, was particularly helpful with suggesting walking paths.
Breakfast in the hotel; not recommended.

Charming hotel, although our family room was in an annexe with no view so felt a bit out of it (it was a huge room though).
Breakfast was good quality but not much choice of continental foods and it was laid out on a table so not quite a 4 star feel (coffee from machine etc)
Very convenient for the sites and a decent car park charging at £11 a day (it’s quite big but I suspect if the hotel was full you’d struggle to park nearby).
