Has full service restaurant on-site. Building and property clean. Wish Best Western would stop using small pillows on beds. Staff knowledgable

The pool area is great (9ft deep at one end!) and unique (under an attrium) but the chlorine smell in the rooms around that area is STRONG. I would have preferred that to what our other room smelled like -- the pungent odor of it being a formerly smoking room. Because the hotel is very popular and was very busy we did not request a different room as I am not sure there would have been any alternatives that just smelled neutral (like nothing) or "fresh" or whatever. Generally everything was fine for sleeping, showering and the like. Staff were nice and the morning buffet was okay. I would stay there again but I would try to maybe get a different room away from both the pool and smoking odors next time.

Although we were given a non-smoking room, the room smelled like smoke. We checked in late in the evening so we didn’t ask for a different room.

And to this hotel three or four times now and it's a wonderful place. It has a great swimming area and whirlpool, and Old Chicago connected for food and Beverages and breakfast. And it's very close to downtown Dubuque only a 5 minute drive.
