Our stay at Sweet Inn - Ballsbridge Dublin was horrible: My daughter referred to it as the house of nightmares come true. All three kids refused to sleep alone in any of the bedrooms because they were so creeped out. The property was described as a 5 star accomodation. However, it has felt like a 3 star poorly maintained airbnb house that has been let for a long time and not been refreshed in a long time. - the doonas and pillows are old and oily and sweaty smelling. They need to be replaced asap. - the linens are cheap and old and the towels are paper thin, not fluffy and fresh. - the matresses are basic, not hotel like or luxurious by any stretch of the imagination. - the entire house is so poorly maintained and full of dust everywhere, cobwebs, and we have treaded carefully so as not to stir too much dust around or else we go into a sneezing frenzy. We don’t sit on any of the sofas or armchairs as they are so old - Bathrooms in general are not cleaned well or in a well-maintained state. The toilets are stained and dirty. The showers are disgusting with mould and mildew and gunk in the corners. - There is a birds nest in the chimney of the master bedroom. The birds are quite loud when they roost in the evenings. The air from the chimney breezes right into the bedroom, gross. - The washing machine smelled of mould and created new stains on clothes I had put through the machine. - The freezer was so frosted over, it was hard to get it open let alone use it
