An old hotel in need of refurbishment

i stayed for 4 days. My room was in the 11th floor. even though the room was very clean. There was a very bad smell when you walk through the hallway. turned out there was a room called garbage room from which a very bad smell was spreading. It was like having a dumpster inside the hallway... i talked to the staff and manager twice about this and nothing was done about it. I really dont recommend staying in this hotel.

We always stay here when we go to Dubai as it’s nice cleans and in a good area close to get around places

Lovely and friendly staff members. Breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful. Lots of shared communal facilities. Room service is very efficient and helpful. We enjoyed our stay!

I recently stayed at the Carlton Downtown and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. The state of the furniture in the hotel room was disappointing, as many pieces were old and some even appeared to be broken. Another downside was the lack of dining options at the hotel. To my dismay, all the restaurants were closed, leaving guests with no convenient on-site food and beverage choices. Furthermore, the overall lighting in the hotel was poor, creating a dreary and unwelcoming atmosphere. This, combined with the old and slow elevator, made navigating the hotel a My stay at the Carlton downtown was marred by the worn-out furniture, lack of dining options, and the poor lighting and slow elevator. I hope that the hotel management will address these issues to improve the experience for future guests. You would not feel you are in Dubia due to poor quilty.
