very old hotel, no airconditioning. no restaurant available, no bar open at night. bad coffee for breakfast.

Property is old and and room's lacking basic amenities such as AC additionally, the Wednesday night we were there there was a disco party with loud music until the early morning hours that prevented us from sleeping at all. I would not recommend it.

Hotel in Lovely setting but

Pros: The Evening meal
Cons: Re-decoration, most of the building looked very tired and well used.
Location: Location in woodland on the side of a hill was very nice but there is nothing to do in the Hotel. Even the bar was unmanned, frustrating.
Initial impression was good but cracks soon appeared. Room was comfortable but insufficient pillows and no air dryer. Reception supplied an air dryer but explained it was the only one. The evening meal was good and I really enjoyed the food and wine. The Buffet Breakfast was a big disappointment, a large party had eaten before me and the tables had not been cleaned and the buffet had not been re-stocked. There was only one waitress to start with and she obviously could not cope, help did arrive before I finished and left the restaurant. The Reception staff could not understand English and when asked to arrange a Taxi, gave me a card with a list of about 10 telephone numbers and told me to call. Having tried all 10 numbers with not one answering, I explained my problem to the receptionist and she shrugged her shoulders and did not try to help. The Hotel seemed to be very short staffed but no attempt to help me.

The hotel said that no payment was done, even though the room was paid through Expedia with PayPal.

I was expecting more from this nice hotel

This a good hotel. What I didnt like was the dinner menu. The offer was not of my taste and there were no much options. It is well located and the room was spacious. There is plenty of spaces at the hotel, like the breakfast/dinner hall and the outsides were great. I was expecting more from them. I had a problem with the shower and they sent a technician to fix it but it was a man and I was somehow embarrased for this situation.
