Guests are very well catered for. Great facilities, very clean, super friendly staff. Breakfast delicious. Note, restaurant/room service not always available if the restaurant is quiet and closes early, however staff still go above and beyond to ensure you can get something to eat e.g. sandwich. Generous complimentary mini-fridge.
Comfortable bed with very good quality bedding. Very important, so worth repeating that it's very clean, the housekeeping team do a great job. Parking a bit of a pain but the multi story car park is less than 5 mins walk. We'll be back.

Property was very well situated. Staff was friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was tasty and an added value. Making snacks and soft drinks available in the room free of charge was a nice touch. Only minor negative was weak soundproofing between rooms. We could distinctly hear our neighbor's TV. Would recommend this hotel.

Thank you very much for your review. We really appreciate the encouragement as well as the constructive comments regarding soundproofing. We are continuously upgrading the sound proofing - apparently, one of the main reasons that sound travels quite well through the hotel is that we elected to install engineered wooden floors to create a much more hygienic room space. Unfortunately this means that we do not benefit from the sound dampening property of carpet. We are, continuously working to improve sound insulation. Last year we installed quadrupel windows and this month we will be installing special sound insulation around the doors which is usually used in recording studios.We hope to welcome you again at the Halvard Hotel.

Friendly staff, great room, yummy breakfast. We stayed in the family room. It was perfect. Very clean, great view.

Other than not having on location parking, I have nothing bad to say about this hotel! My husband and i did a one night stay and booked an ocean view room. The room was excellent and the location was perfect, easy to walk the sea promenade and many restaurants and bars within a 10 minute walk.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and well laid out with a neat mood lighting feature. The restaurant was surprisingly good. I had an excellent steak with an amazing mushroom sauce.
