Property was run down and didn’t look as nice as the pictures. Door didn’t lock, but was fixed after we requested it.

Management was friendly. Pool was amazing for hot weather. Locating is conveniently located near restaurants and highway. Would recommend.

Staff was very nice. Rooms were clean, but it's an older motel. Lots of places close to eat & shop.

The Dexter Inn at first glance isn’t terrible. The location as well as outside upkeep of property weren’t bad. The guy at the front desk helped save me money on my room by suggesting I book the room online instead of right there in lobby. I mean who don’t like saving money!? The room cleanliness is what my biggest issue was. Walking up the stairs I noticed the boxspring, mattress, and metal bed frames for most the rooms were sitting in the hallways. Walked into my room and flip the lights to see a bedbug in the sink upside down squirming around alive. Instantly I took a photo and showed the guy at the front. They have a no refund sign posted in the lobby but he agreed to give me a refund because of the circumstances. With me booking the room online I had to contact their customer service to initiate the refund for him to approve it and receive it back to my debit card, which could taking up to 15 days.

we are remodeling some of our rooms: paint, carpet and other amenities are being replaced. since we are open 24/7, 365 days a year: we have to do remodeling while property is still open. I do apologize for any inconvenience and we had expert check the room and there were no signs of bugs in mattress, headboard, or room. We are almost done with all the rooms freshly painted. thank you

Sam and Gina were wonderful! They made me feel well cared for, and endeavored to fix anything not working. i.e. they brought a new fridge. Never were able to get the phone working. The mattress was so soft, it really needs to go on a sheet of plywood. But I would stay there again tomorrow, such nice people!!!

For the cost, I cannot complain. I do not mind to stay in a place like this by myself as I am a traveling salesman. Absolutely would not stay with my family if we happened to be passing through. Upon arrival the main level appears to be clean and well kept. The second floor that I stayed on was a different story. The stairwell was incredibly dirty as was the hallway leading to my room. In my room the bedding was clean as were towels, carpet was dirty in all corners, the cloth chairs in room were stained and extremely outdated. Bathroom had no trim at all and needs updated. I’m ok with old, not ok with old and cruddy. Again as a solo traveler who can avoid touching everything in sight it’s ok for the price. If my kids were there I would have an anxiety attack trying to keep them from touching stuff! Breakfast area was clean and provided make your own waffles which is always good so no complaints there.

Thank you for your response. I do apologize for stairs being dirty, but during the month of February we have Snow Geese hunters that trail alot of mud through the hallways and stairs. we do try to keep it clean once a shift. as to other things in room, I will personally check rooms and find a solution.
