Desert oasis

Posted 21 Oct 2015 on Hotels
Stayed here for 2 nights of a 9 day 30th anniversary trip. This place was planned as a rejuvenating stop. WOW it fit the bill!!! Absolutely a stunning desert oasis, with its history, landscape, and architecture. I read the reviews before selecting this place, about it's lack of amenities, and neighborhood, but chose it any way and we were glad we did. Not only that but would jump at another chance to stay here, absolutely beautiful place!!! We planned ahead had a cooler got ice and something to grill. Tracy the owner contacted us and inform us that being midweek no other guests would be staying there, the whole place to ourselves, are you kidding me!!! we had to pinch ourselves!!! We did manage to tear ourselves away to check out near bye Joshua Tree National Park (really cool) and the Coachella Valley Preserve Thousand Palms Ca. east of Palm Desert Ca. hard place to find but worth the effort. My rating might not live up to my enthusiasm but I have to be honest. The immediate neighborhood is ok, but you have to get ice and stuff, so closest place is a couple of miles, on the way you see houses with bars on the windows, just saying. On the service side no maid service or ice machine and the pool is small, if the place was full you would have to take turns. None of this was a problem for us and enjoyed our stay immensely, it was the highlight of our trip!!! P.S. Nice job Tracy on the renovation!!!

Better Than A Hotel

You can stay at other hotels and wait in line for to check in and check out, share the pool and hallway with every yahoo. Or you can stay here and have the place almost to yourself. Not a hotel room really more of a suite. Large windows wonderfully designed room....you feel like a rock star when you stay at Hotel Lautner. Spend the extra and vacation like the rich and famous. Easy to get to from either Palm Springs or Joshua Tree.

A Gem in the Desert

I treated myself to a couple nights here, and what a fantastic place.... a hip little self-contained micro boutique hotel, impeccably restored units, with lots of thoughtful touches. Tracy, the owner, had considered everything from prewarming my suite, the L'occitane toiletries, Frette bedding, excellent music playing softly....perfect.

Perfect place to unwind and unplug. Classy and private. At the same time they are able to hold weddings can't ask for anymore.

Magiskt koncept

Fantastisk arkitektur o design. Magiskt koncept med stora fönsterpartier som tar in ljus o natur. Härlig egen uteplats med liten trapp från rummet. Eget välutrustat kök.
