This is on a busy road that at first glance can seem to be small, non remarkable and somewhat isolated. However, a magical experience awaits inside. You walk to the back of this magnificent property and it opens up like an oasis in the desert. It is truly awesome. A winding 100 meter glorious swimming pool with a series of bridges crossing it (one of 2 pools). The huge property (some 900 rooms) is a quiet 'sanctuary'. It comes with bar, restaurant, tennis court and huge picnic areas. The staff were wonderful, happy and ever helpful. We were concerned about it being an isolated location but $5 - 10 AUD gets you anywhere you need to go in a Bluebird Taxi. By the way this taxi service uses a meter and the taxis are clean with excellent drivers. We cannot speak more highly of the Cakra Hotel. Rooms air conditioned and great. love it, love it, love it !! No hot water!! The shower didn't work properly at all. Half the things we tried to order from the restaurant they didn't have (bananas etc). And when I went to have a swim there was a bunch of workmen working on-site who were FILMING ME and TAKING photos. Never felt so uncomfortable!! Terrible hotel.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to help me with my needs at all hours of the day and night.

Great hotel quiet location which is what we wanted

Pros: Quiet hotel which is what we were after on our vacation. Its authentic balinese style design very appropriate.
Cons: The improvements I think would be the shower and more variety with the kitchen.
Location: Sanur beach that we went to was very dirty really I can see why there wasnt alot of activity there. The Puri Santrian side seemed a much better place
I would recommend the hotel to anyone who likes there hotel quiet relaxed. It is out of the way and not well known by local drivers so make sure you know the address. The kitchen could use more variety in the food it serves but what it does have is very nice. Experience overall for a hotel not on beachfront was great with two pools and a fantastic garden cant fault.

Nice hotel but a bit far from the popular location

Pros: Staff and cleanliness
Cons: Maybe hotel can provide transport to attractive place like beach or kuta area.
Location: Nothing nearby hotel. where you go need to have transport.
Overall i m satisfied with this hotel. affordable price and pleasant staff. just a bit far from the city.

Horrible stay, overpayed with bad service

Horrible Stay. I payed my whole 4 day stay by check in. When i checked out,they told me that they also charged one night on my Credit card. I asked them to cancel it. But they only cancel with a 4% charge. I have to take the money. At the end the CC charge does even not have my signature, but the answer was: it does not matter we can claim like that. Be prepared that the restaurant have no service in the afternoon, no really cold beer because of missing infrastructure ( no proffessional fridge)
