All tile floors, so the floors were clean. The ice machines were not working and only a few packaged pastries and coffee for breakfast.

It’s a very basic motel. Very comfortable bed. Limited breakfast. It’s near the wildlife refuge so great birding and hiking. Also has mini golf, which does not interest me at all.

Check in was simple. We traveled with our large dog, and pet fee was $100. Room was neat, clean and smelled nice. Thankful for something to eat, but the breakfast was a couple of muffins, bagels, and/or instant oatmeal. No drink machines available on the property, but snacks and drinks are an easy walk across the road to the local store.

We reserved a 2 room suite for a running race weekend for two families. Because we had selected to pay on site, when we arrived they had moved us to a single room that wouldn't fit everyone and they said everything else was booked. I understand they said they had some maintenance problems but they didn't notify us ahead of time or give us options. The room we had reserved early for a discount and were paying a little over $200 for the 2 room suite but they charged us $178 for the one we got moved to and the other family had to go to the only place available (Canaan) and pay over $200 for their room. The very least that should have been done was to give a discount on the room that we had to stay in. Put a bad taste in our mouth for this location. I don't blame the girl working that night for the situation she was put in.
