Food options for an evening meal were limited but what we had was very nice although quite expensive.
Room was comfortable and clean however we had booked for two double beds and what we got was one double, one single and one tiny much lower to the floor fold out bed. Thankfully my children are only small as the fold out bed wouldn’t have been comfortable or suitable at all for an adult or older child.
All of the sockets in our room went off on the night. Staff came along as soon as I called and the issue was sorted with 5-10 minutes.

Pleasant but road noise & black mould off putting
Posted 5 Mar 2024 on HotelsA pleasant place with lots of character, albeit next to the road, and nice people. The room was okay but the mould in the bathroom was somewhat off putting and was in need of a refresh.
The road noise was intrusive and kept me awake.
None of this was reflected in the price of the room.

Beautiful B&B
Posted 25 Feb 2024 on HotelsA lovley place to stay. The surrounding area was beautiful the room was very spacious. The staff were ver very friendly and helpful. The food in the pub was very nice aswell. I would definitely stay there again.

Posted 11 Dec 2023 on HotelsI really enjoyed my stay at The George. I needed to drop my bags and return late and Karen on reception was very kind enough to let me check in early.
My room was perfect, a good high pressure shower, luxury toiletries and a really good mattress with beautiful sheets.
I'd certainly come back and give it top marks!

Lovely big room and a nice breakfast with great service! Commutable to A1 so perfect for what I needed.
