The stairs up to our room seemed like they could use a little reinforcing/updating. However, the stairway was well lighted and easily navigable. We did find a previously opened bottle of water in our refrigerator, likely from a prior guest. The room was clean and comfortable, but could use additional electrical outlets near the bed for CPAP users.

Dancing Bear was a great place to stay near everything in Damascus!

The hosts were very nice and the room was clean, comfortable, large, and quiet. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

We stayed 5 nighys and really enjoyed the Mama Bear Suite. It has a private room and another bed in the front room. Beds were great. Place was clean. Full kitchen. Elizabeth, the owner, was our shuttle driver as we slack-packed our way across Mt. Rogers on the A.T. she was speedy and always there to pick us up.

Posted 4 Feb 2024 on HotelsVery nice, clean, and cozy place. Close to everything in Damascus (which, of course, is not a huge town). Check-in was a breeze thanks to Elizabeth (very nice lady). I can recommend this spot!
