Great Bed and Breakfast. One of only three in McKinney. Walking distance to the square.

Great place to stay in McKinney

Posted 3 May 2016
Pros: We enjoyed the location, the beautiful yard, the roominess of the room, drinks and snacks, and the wonderful breakfast. The owners are very welcoming.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Located blocks from the McKinney square, where there is loads of shops and restaurants, as well as many historical buildings and homes.
We stayed 2 nights. Our hosts were very welcoming, the room clean and had everything one would need; refrigerator, microwave, snacks, drinks, and cable TV. The breakfast was fantastic - more food than one could eat in one sitting and very tasty. The property is beautiful - lots of trees and flowers. it is conveniently close to the square.

XLNT B&B

Pros: Close to McKinney Square and located on a very quiet street.
Cons: For some, breakfast at 8:30 may be too early.
Location: The McKinney square is less than a mile away. There are numerous eateries and entertainment to enhance your stay.
Very charming B&B with extremely helpful and attentive hosts.

Best Weekend place to stay in McKinney -

Posted 19 Apr 2016
Pros: The hospitality, the amazing breakfast, morning conversation, and the sensibility of the owners.
Cons: I am excited to see where the back property project goes - I can see such love and attention to how Debbie and Gary restored the house.
Location: Located just outside of the town square, perfect for an evening stroll. In the heart of the historical area of McKinney.
What a fantastic find for me and my daughter! We came into town to visit relatives and found this amazing gem of a B+B. Debbie and Gary were amazing hosts, the breakfasts and conversation with them and the other guests will go in memory books. They made us feel right at home! This place is super close to the downtown square, the guidebook in the rooms are great for giving ideas on all there is to do in McKinney. It may be rated a 3.5 Star - but it was a 5-Star experience! A must stay!!

Wonderful Stay at Red Gate Inn

Posted 18 Mar 2016 on Hotels
Gary and Debbie were outstanding hosts. They made us feel like it was our home. I guarantee you will not find nicer B&B hosts. The room was very elegant, the house was historical with character but also well-maintained, parking was easy, and food was good (though coffee was a little weak). Would definitely recommend to family/stay there again.

Arrive as a Guest, leave as a Friend

Pros: Your hosts could not be any more accommodating and gracious.
Cons: NOTHING.
Location: House is located in an old section. Still some houses that need renovation, so it is not all clean and nice, but you are perfectly safe.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Red Gate Inn in McKinney, TX on business this week. What a lovely respite! The 100 year old home is beautifully decorated yet your bedroom and bath provide nothing but comfort, charm and modern day convenience. Internet access was perfect. Your hosts are lovely folks and the breakfast provided was Gourmet which I enjoyed on the second floor sitting porch.
