We stayed 8 nights at the Plaza King and had a wonderful experience. Excellent customer service from every level, especially the Horizon check-in service. My children and I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. They had a good variety of delicious things to eat. Lastl, we were also delighted there was a bus stop just outside of the hotel that takes you to the airport.

We forgot our bag in our taxi back to the hotel without any information of the driver. The staffs are so nice to help us find the taxi by camera recording and we are so lucky to have our bag back.

Staff were fantastic and friendly. Location is great and is central to many popular areas and pool/gym was fantastic and made it all worth it. I would note that the room could have been cleaner. Overall, great experience.

Stayed here during the 7.4 earthquake. Difficult to evaluate the hotel without that skewing the perspective. The good: the rooms were spacious, the hotel was quiet, it is a 10 minute walk to the nearest MRT, and around 15 minutes to Daan Park, could walk to Taipei 101 in roughly 30 minutes, several convenience stores and fast foods options nearby. The bad: I don't feel the hotel provided enough information to guests in the immediate aftermath of the earthquake. We received one letter telling us that there had been an earthquake - we knew!! - and that the rooftop pool was closed as it had been damaged. The earthquake hit on the Wednesday and we could still feel the building shaking when we left on the Saturday morning; so much so that my children requested to leave our room - on the 23rd floor - on the Friday night. There were more than 700 aftershocks following the earthquake and, in retrospect, I feel the hotel should have done more to inform us on what we should do and what we should expect in the aftermath, and to reassure us on the building's stability, given it is an older building, having been built in 1994.

This hotel is great. The top swimming pool is my favorites as great top-view to watch the whole Taipei.
