Great customer service, ok hotel
Posted 18 Jun 2019 on HotelsGreat customer service. The people at the reception were very friendly and go above and beyond to help you with anything you need. The hotel itself is very basic, you need to ask the reception before taking a shower for warm water, and we needed to ask for a second towel every day, as we only received one towel for two people. Nevertheless the staff was very happy to help with this. The hotel is only a 15min walk from the main square, so I can recommend the hotel if you are looking for a budget option.

Not good

Good hotel for the price

Pros: Staff and close to everything
Cons: Add a night lamp... and fix the shower. It was difficult to get warm water... it was either hot or cold.
Location: Plaza de Armas, everything is there, festivals dance, restaurants, massages.
The staff was friendly and would go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable (Theo gave an excellent service).
The room was clean, but very simple. Perhaps a night lamp would have been useful.
It could be noisy if you need to sleep in as there is much echo and next door, there's a daycare.
The breakfast was very simple, bread, jam, juice and coffee, but you can order a few other things for a little extra. Their coffee is excellent.
Walking distance to la Plaza de Armas, where you can find everything. If you want to eat for cheap, at 2 corners from there, there's a restaurant Criollon that we enjoyed.

A step up from my last stop.
Posted 27 Apr 2017 on HotelsCentral to local markets one being right behind the hotel. A bit of a stroll to the main tourist area. It's main downfalls would be its location on a busy intersection with vendors constantly calling out from nearby, and a rather sparse breakfast, oh, hot water took some time to get to the tap. You should also be warned that the busy bus stop nearby can attract some shady characters.
As was common with the other sites that I used in this price range, you will have difficulty in communicating if you don't speak Spanish. If these are not issues for you, the room was pleasant, the building in good shape, friendly staff. A good value for the dollar.

Adequate hotel.
Posted 18 Jan 2017 on HotelsStaff was friendly and helpful but language and communicating was an issue. The room was a bit chilly. Good 15 to 20 minute walk to city center. High altitude made simple walking laborious. Paid a hotel tariff/tax upon checking in but discovered it was no longer required by the government and was given a refund upon checking out. Security was good since front door was always locked requiring desk clerk to let you out and in. Breakfast was very light but hot water was available anytime of the day. Again, staff generally tried to be helpful. Recommended if you are only looking for a budget price and basic accommodations.

Cheap but convenient

No hay agua en la noche y menos caliente, una noche no quedó nadie en el lobby y algunos huéspedes se quedaron afuera hasta que hayamos personal dentro del hotel !!
Buena ubicación.
