We arrived following a thunderstorm where the electricity went out. The elevator was out but the repairman was called. Unfortunately we were on the third floor and my mom is disabled. My mom slowly made her way up the stairs and the lovely general manager helped my mom up and carried her luggage. She offered to carry mine too! During our whole stay we felt very well taken care of and would definitely stay again

The clerk, Cheryl was very nice, professional and soothing. Our room was horrific! Spider in my turned down bed sheets , dirty . Awful room. Cheryl put us in another room, another handycap which we did not want but it was cleaner. However , the blinds did not work and were facing the lights of the parking lot! We wont get any sleep tonight for over 300.00 plus. Horrible experience.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Just one thing...We stayed on the second floor, and the air conditioning didn't seem to work well in the hallway area. There was a noticeable difference when we stepped into the hallway leaving our room.

Fantastic hotel and experience. Only exception was the coffee at breakfast, which was actually worse than what comes from the little machine in the room, which I didn't think was possible. Outside of that a very completely wonderful experience.

Did a “Girlfriend Retreat” for 2 nights…despite the rain, it hit all of our boxes above including close proximity to a park to walk on paved trail! Great array of dining options and shopping downtown! Would be nice if the city of Culpeper had a shuttle that would make pick-up & drop-off stops to our hotel. Would highly recommend!

Property canceled my room after I drove 7 hrs there and couldn’t notify me! Then Expedia won’t return the money they took and saying it’s the hotel who took it but I have invoice from the hotel canceling the room and never charging any card!

I am sorry that the Baymont cancelled your reservation after driving 7 hours to that hotel. But we here @Holiday Inn Express cannot help you when the reservation is at another hotel property chain. We are sorry that you had such a ruff weekend.

I stayed for 1 night. As a woman traveling alone, I booked this hotel because it is well known and safe. My checkout was the following day at noon (12pm). I was literally on the toilet at 8:43am when housekeeping came into my room without knocking or announcing themselves. She quickly apologized and said “I thought you were gone”. I understand mistakes happen, but as a woman rebelling alone that is a very scary and unsafe situation. Thankfully, she was a woman. I did tell the front desk, who said thank you for letting us know. They need to work on communication. That was a scary, uncomfortable, and unsafe position to be in.
