No curtains and cold showers
Posted 15 Mar 2020 on HotelsI arrived late on the first night of my stay. The check in was fine and I got a room in a different building from the main hotel. This was expected from the name of the room. It was a Schloss Junior Suite.
Room seemed fine on first inspection. In the morning it was terrible though as there were no curtains but a large window. If you are like me and prefer to sleep in darkness this isn´t a room that will suit.
After I complained I got a new room in another building. This one had curtains but they were pointless as when it got light outside, so did my room. The curtains had little impact.
When I went to have a shower, the shower was cold. There was no hot water.
When I complained about the room having no curtains the reponse from reception that it wouldn´t disturb them. When I complained about the next room being light and the shower not having any hot water, they said my comments would be passed on.
Quite poor for €190 a night. They should maybe find a way to make their rooms suitable to sleep in. Also they could follow up a guess paying so much but having to have a cold shower.
I won´t be returning. Terrible standard.

Posted 9 Sep 2015 on HotelsWhat a great hotel! Booked last minute because of rating and location. Did not expect such a lovely hotel. Staff was super at checkin. We had two rooms, mine was lovely but the other room had pink tea cup wall paper. Very strange. Beds were excellent, I could have slept for days.
Breakfast buffet was a bargain for all the tasty choices. Took a walk to the lake afterwards before departing.

Nice hotel in beautiful country setting

Pros: Clean, spacious rooms. Beautiful setting.
We rented an apartment which was large, nicely furnished and had a great balcony overlooking the valley. Desk staff were friendly and welcoming. Only spent one night there so did not try the restaurant or spa/pool facilities, but would definitely return if in the area.
