The hotel room is huge and had a great view from our balcony. The staff was fantastic! The breakfast is sufficient but won’t knock your socks off. The location is perfect. The mattress was more firm than we are used too but we slept well.

Bath water pressure was good. Small room without aircon but ok this season. Request for mountain view room not acceded to.
Was at Cortina during low season. Many shops were closed. Dinner and lunch options were limited. But scenery is captivating.

Hotel Aquila is on the main pedestrian street that goes through town. It is a 10 minute walk to the main bus station and also to the church in the center of town from which one can get a shuttle to the ski areas. So it is convenient for skiing, shopping, restaurants. Breakfast buffet was somewhat basic but good enough. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was very small, but it did have a good partial view of some mountains since it was on the top floor. One problem was that the room was too hot (in the winter), even after I turned off all heat sources. It was difficult to sleep unless I opened the balcony door.

Four-day Christmas Getaway
Posted 31 Dec 2023 on HotelsVery comfortable hotel in the heart of the downtown area, walkable to all shops, restaurants, ski lifts. Very good restaurant / wine bar in the hotel, enjoyed breakfast and a few dinners there, including Christmas dinner. Friendly staff. Parking nearby, can park out front to unload/load. Maids could do a slightly better job on bathroom cleaning; was some mold starting in shower that we cleaned off. Overall, highly recommend.
