Great affordable spacious room

It was perfect for our one night stay. Clean and affordable. Nice staff. Pet friendly dogs up to 20ibs. Non-smoking room was spacious with King bed and sofa.

As being one of the only hotels in sinton I have stayed at this hotel prior but this place has gone down hill. I will never be staying here again. The mattresses are hard as a rock, blankets had cigarette burns and looked very old and dingy. The couch looked dirty with dirt stains and grease. The tub had rust stains and no slip resistant bottom which cause me to slip out of the tub and hit the toilet. Water pressure almost nonexistent. Furniture looked old with scratched and very worn out. Room smelt muggy and stale. Front desk was a quick check in which was nice, but not very friendly. Bummer is town lacks other options.

Upon reaching the room, had problems getting the key card to do anything. Finally got in. Went to take a shower and no towels in the room. Got dressed again and walked to the office to get towels, manager apologized and gave me gray colored white towels. Walked back to the room and the key card wouldn’t work at all. Thank goodness my wife was there to open up. The toilet ran all night. The ceiling fan had a horrible coating of black dirt on the blades. Towel rack at the lavatory was torn off the wall. Microwave didn’t have the glass plate to set your dish on so it was unusable. Bathtub was dangerously slick. Next morning walked to the front for the continental breakfast that was advertised. Was told that they haven’t served breakfast since COVID. Really?? I highly recommend staying away from this place. I learned my lesson about not reading reviews. Apparently, this place has been terrible for a long time.

Made reservations for 2 rooms & called ahead to ensure we'd be able to check in after hours. We used the small window for check in. When we tried the keys, they didn't work. I had to walk back to the window for keys. This was a foreshadowing of MORE surprises. I know this is a road side motel. Still I want a clean room. There were stains on the furniture, window curtains, shower curtain, sheets smelled like they'd been slept in, & towels were gray (beyond dingy). Even if we were EXHAUSTED, the road noise & train were unyielding. We will revert to the motel next door ... which is plain but clean.
