This B&B was the area hospital back in the late 1800s to early 1900s. I enjoyed the history and decor. The bar was enjoyable and also the parlour. Sunny breakfast room. The onsite caretaker, Bill, is very friendly. It’s a very pleasant stay here.

Staff was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They welcomed us as if we were long time guests and it was our first time there. If you love unique places this is definitely the spot!!

The history of the hotel is very cool and the staff are super friendly. Quick walk to downtown and fun hang out areas in the hotel. I’d stay again.

Cool historic building
Posted 22 Jan 2024 on HotelsThis hotel is a historic building- an old hospital so it was fun to stay here and see all the cool details. However, it was pretty cold inside- partly due to it being an old building, but I’m also pretty sure that they didn’t turn the heat on. Breakfast is super basic. The room that we thought we booked was not what we got. But it worked for us. Staff was very friendly and informative about the history of the area.

I’m sorry your stay was less than expected. I can assure you that the heat is always on! We have hot water boiler heat and have found that it’s inconsistent from room to room which is why each room has a space heater as well. (Some rooms are too hot!) you room being a large suite has two space heaters. It is extremely cold here in winter when the wind blows, so it feels cold. I hope you are able to return in other seasons when it’s more comfortable.
