A very friendly welcome and a comfortable stay. Evening meal and breakfast very tasty and much appreciated. The en-suite bathroom appears to have been recently upgraded and is amongst the best I have encountered in hotels of this size. The Newcastle Arms would be my first choice if I were visiting the area again.

Obviously not showing its 300 year age, but a little worn around the edges. great local, lovely breakfast and evening meal. Owners personable and helpful and so good to see that they are so busy. Keep up the good work!

Lovely little hotel
Posted 30 Aug 2023 on HotelsWe had to contact the hotel in advance because we had a delay in our arrival. They were splendid: helpful, friendly and understanding. We were only there two days to help our family to relocate but we couldn't fault the service, the breakfast or the staff. Super.
