The White Hart is a lovely hotel and pub set in the charming village of Coggeshell. We stayed bed and breakfast for 2 nights. The manageress, Nicky, and her staff were welcoming, pleasant and friendly. Our room was clean, inviting and quiet; the bed was especially comfortable, and we slept well both nights. We really enjoyed our breakfasts, there was lots of choice for both the continental style and the cooked breakfasts, the food was of good quality and plentiful. We can heartily recommend staying there.

Good, clean acoomodation and the pub downstairs seemed nice. Didn't spend much time in the room as we were at a weddong, but thr breakfast was the best I've had in a longggg time!!!

Wouldn’t stay again
Posted 31 Jan 2024 on HotelsSeemed to be understaffed. Had the same One person on reception, behind the bar and waitressing!! Was Waiting over an hour for a lamb shank that was described as 10 hour slow cooked but came out like a rubber lollipop! Radiator didn’t work in room so was cold at night. Shower head was crap and cubicle was tiny.

Lovely Inn but very chilly
Posted 28 Jan 2024 on HotelsThe Hotel was very nice apart from the lack of heating. We went in January and the heaters were not on in the bar or restaurant area. When we asked why this was we were told that the heating was on a timer. Clearly needs some adjusting then. Rooms were spotlessly clean and the bed lined was good quality as were the towels. Very few staff around and they were running around trying to serve drinks in the bar as well as waiting tables in the restaurant. Cannot fault the staff at all but a few more might be better. Dinner Saturday night was very nice although there were several items not available which was odd considering that there were only a handful of diners. Breakfast was included and there was a nice assortment of buffets items and several choices of hot food. Coffee and tea were a bit of the cold side and really the staff should be replacing these but again there was only one staff member looking after us. I would return but not in the winter unless they can do something about the lack of heating
