Spooky ghosts with keys for bathrooms
Posted 12 Feb 2024 on HotelsGhostly goings on, locking the door with no key meant I had to change rooms. Which was a real shame as the room looked amazing. New room still very good. Team friendly, no food being served so had to do a quick walk into the town, but plenty of choices available so it wasn’t an issue. Breakfast basket is ok but my preference is for some sort of cooked breakfast but again not a deal breaker.

Could have been really nice but….
Posted 11 Jan 2024 on HotelsQuite a disappointing stay sadly. Nice character Inn but was told on arrival that they are not serving any food. I got 2 x emails advising there is karaoke on a Thursday night but they couldn’t advise that the restaurant was closed. The bedroom was lovely and I was aware of the breakfast hamper which was also good. However, the bathroom was the coldest room I have ever been in. There are 2 x radiators but none were working and I could literally see my breath. If my wife had been staying we would have left and asked for our money back it was that cold. The shower gel was jelly like and ice cold and I resorted to brushing my teeth standing in the bedroom. I expected it at night as quite a lot of places automatically reduce some heating areas overnight (hence why I didn’t move or leave) but it didn’t change in the morning. Please check before booking because it otherwise would have been quite nice (in spite of having to go back out to eat elsewhere).

Posted 10 Dec 2023 on HotelsThis Inn has the best rooms we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in a lot!! This is our 2nd stay.
Everything is of the best quality, the beds are super comfortable, with luxury linen. The bathrooms are immaculately clean, and the water is always pipping hot.
They do not provide a cooked breakfast, but a hamper is in the room with a choice of goodies so you can have breakfast in bed. There is real milk orange jucie, fruit and water in the fridge.
There is also a tassimo coffee machine, as well as the usual kettle.
They do serve evening dinners, of pub grub, which was lovely pipping hot and a reasonble cost.
They do warn that there may be music on some nights, but that has not bothered us.
The staff and the locals are friendly and welcoming.
Don't hesitate stay here!!!

The pub food was disappointing, we would stay overnight again but would eat somewhere else.

Loved this place! So idyllic. We spent the evening sitting by the fire, drinking, chatting to locals and cuddling puppies. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Room was big, super comfortable bed and the bathroom very nice too. The breakfast hamper was a lovely gesture. Being right next to the village church meant hearing the church bells Sunday morning and I am pretty sure those are the loveliest church bells I ever did hear. PERFECT STAY!
