We had a great stay at Opal Cove. This hotel is in a great location, family orientated, fantastic dining however many missed opportunities and looking a little run down. Pool areas were quite tired and needed painting and general upkeep. A lot of unused space inside that would be perfect for an indoor play area, some sort of school holiday activities (plaster painting etc) I have to mention the restaurant again - we ate here many times - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our food was beautiful every time, great quality, generous portions and piping hot! Overall top spot and great for kids

The staff are absolutely AMAZING. They are friendly, helpful and go above and beyond. Horizons Restaurant and Bar staff are the best. Super friendly, fast service and delicious food/drinks. The place is general needs a complete makeover. The spa has brick coming through the paint, along with the paint peeling and just a sad old look in general. There are brown stains in the pool & spa. Outdoor furniture extremely outdated. Path is broken when walking down to the beach. Decking/tiled area outside looks terrible. Especially the area where the tile has been removed and all you can see is dirt/sand. It’s inconvenient that you need to walk outside to get to the restaurant with a pram. It was sprinkling one morning and we had no choice but to walk in the rain to get to breakfast. Rooms are good standard. The housekeeping take pride in cleanliness.
