Perfect Getaway

Pros: Location, Staff, Well maintained
This was our 3rd visit to Torfhaus Resort Hotel. It is our favorite. The location in the Harz Mountains is serene, but also full of possibilities for hiking, biking, and quick travel to picturesque towns. The houses/cabins at the resort are maintained in excellent condition. There is plenty of room for a family. We enjoy sitting on the deck with a meal and looking at the beautiful views of the forest. We accidentally left some belongings at the hotel. The staff was very gracious and quickly shipped them to us. This is a well-run, top quality resort offered at a very affordable price.

Fantastic cottages in the Harz mountains!

Pros: Modern, clean, great location, crisp fresh air.
This is my 16th trip to Germany. The Torfhaus Resort rates as one of the best experiences that I have ever had. The location is perfect for hiking, biking, sightseeing or just relaxing. It is in the forest, but close to Altenau, Braunlage and other larger communities. The cottages are in excellent shape with the most modern appliances. Staff is very professional and always on duty. We also used the fitness room and were pleased with the up-to-date equipment. Most important---my wife thought the Torfhaus was fantastic. I recommend the Bavaria restaurant that is only a few steps away from the Hotel and Lodges.

Das Hotel ist gut gelegen, man kann von hier aus super eine Tageswanderung zum
Brocken machen. Die Einrichtung ist sehr gemütlich und hochwertig. Es war nur schade, sass es momentan kein Frühstück gab (nur to go)

Posted 9 Aug 2023 on HotelsStanza piccola anche se nuova. Purtroppo la colazione non è servita ma è data da asporto. Non c’è ristorante e nessu caffè vicino per una colazione. Bene la sauna e il relax. Prezzo troppo alto per il servizio offerto. Non c’è servizio lavanderia.
