This was my second destination in Cuba after Havana. I got very relaxed with a warm welcome as I was so tired and sick of those people trying to rip you off in Havana. Finally I could take some rest here. Clean and cozy place. AC working very well. The host was very nice and willing to help with everything. You should definitely visit Palacio de Valle where she recommended for me. I guess only down side is that she cannot speak English.

This has to be one of the loveliest casas in Cuba. Victor and Elena are wonderful hosts, warm and friendly and very welcoming. They helped us to plan our days and organised trips and taxis for us, and the food is excellent - Elena even cooked me a special vegan meal. The rooms are clean and fresh. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

El Zafiro is a gem!

The hosts, Helena and Victor are a wonderful couple who genuinely enjoy sharing their home and hospitality with their guests. Their professionalism is on display each day but more importantly their warmth and generous nature is apparent from the moment you enter the home. They clearly take pride in their business and offer lovely accommodations accented by personal touches. We enjoyed breakfast in their garden patio each morning which was lovingly prepared by Helena (always with a smile) and gallantly served by Victor. Ask them about the history of their home. They will proudly share it and point out how they have honored it throughout their renovations. We highly recommend spending some time with this sweet couple. Muchas gracias, Helena y Victor. It was the best accomodation in Cuba!! Elena and Victor are wonderful and friendly. we had even a personal cook, the food and drinks were incredible tasty and the hotel was perfectly clean and located in the centre and near to everything. They showed us the map where to go and organize a trip for us. Thank you for everything and if we have opportunity we will come back for sure !!!

Pros: The staff very nice and friendly and always try to prepare a very good breakfast and willing to assist the guest in any way they can.
Cons: The only thing that can be improved is the internet service.
Location: The location is very good within walking distance to restaurants,shopping area and historic sites.
My stay was very good, the owners of the Casa were very accommodating and they did every thing possible to make my stay an enjoyable one.

Best place in Cuba
Posted 23 Jan 2018The best service and premises we have seen in 3 weeks in Cuba for a normal price. Would definitely go back! The owners are really lovely and sweet. I hugely recommend this place.

Bonito establecimiento colonial con un patio muy agradable para desayunar, habitaciones limpias y cómodas , la situación muy buena y la atención por parte del personal estupenda. Muy recomendable.
