I loved the idea of being able to stay in surroundings that make this town so The staff are exceptionally friendly & took plenty of time to explain the area & give recommendations which were exceptional! The location is fantastic! A close walk to the old town but also close enough to the outskirts that make parking easy. Great stay! Can’t recommend this place enough! "

"It is very unique because is a real cave but with all the modern facilities. The host are great Domenica and Walter are extremely helpful and nice. Next to hotel there is an excellent restaurant with the typical food for lunch and dinner and very nice people also “da Nico”. We highly recommend and we will stay again in the future."

"This is a lovely boutique hotel that is newly renovated to take advantage of the unique caves in Matera. There is a beautiful view over the gorge. We spent 3 nights here and the lovely owner spent time with us each day curating a perfect itinerary for seeing Matera. There was free parking nearby. The room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was good. It’s about a 10 min walk into the main part of town, but it’s nice to be on the edge with the view and it’s super quiet. "
