"This is one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed. If you have difficulty with stairs, you may want to look elsewhere, but if no mobility issues, you must stay here! It’s incredible!"
"Beautifully appointed and designed room, excellent location a few feet from major attraction, great breakfast and selection of food items and a very friendly and helpful staff. "
"The hotel is in a quiet location, yet close to restaurants, tourist attractions, and recreational areas. There's a fair amount of stairs to walk, so it's recommended to pack light."
"We had a wonderful stay at La Corte Vetere! The location is stunning and full of character—the view from the property is breathtaking, offering a truly unique experience in the heart of Matera. Claudio was an exceptional host: warm, helpful, and always available whenever we needed anything. The property was clean, comfortable, and full of charm. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Matera!"
"Amazing place! Staff is extremely friendly, Andrea and Lucia are super nice and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone with my eyes closed."
"Great stay, clean, close to everything. Nice room but no windows because they are in a grotta in the old town. Be aware you need to walk from the lobby to the rooms and there are stairs to get there (don’t bring heavy luggage)"

"Truly fantastic boutique hotel! Such an amazing find! Highly recommended.
Parking is free and easy to find. The hotel picks you up and takes you into the city.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. On the day of our departure we needed to leave very early and they had a full breakfast ready for us and gave us a ride back to our car with no problem at all.
The location at the edge of the cliff is absolutely stunning and the views are unparalleled.
The rooms themselves are unique and very well appointed. The bathroom in our room needs to be repainted and the loft where the kids slept got very hot. But other than that we can't find a single fault with this lovely spot in a beautiful city!
