A lovely small hotel with bar only 10 mins walk from the centre .Although no food allowed in the room. There is a pleasant covered area at the back of the hotel where we picnicked both days. The rooms are practical and clean.

This hotel is in a great location of Chinon. It's great that they had parking and an outdoor patio.
To note, I got yelled at for arriving at 9:30pm (21h30). Apparently hotels don't have a full time concierge. North Americans are used to arriving before 11pm (23h00) so this was a shock to me.
The room was filled with spiders and spider webs. It was absolutely disgusting. The shower contains mold. The room was very outdated. When I brought this up to the host, she insisted they weren't there before. Not only had she lied about the condition of the room, when she had a couple of them removed, the spiders stayed behind.
Very disappointing and I would not recommend staying here if you want a clean and comfortable stay.
