With its generous and extraordinarily pleasant hosts, this property would be one of the best in the area only if the rooms were stripped of their poor-man’s transition to modernity, restored to their past glory, and equipped with an electric kettle!!

Perfect place in Chinon. Close to bus/train station and central to everything. Great restaurant on site

Good location right in the heart of Chinon. Parking close by and within easy walking distance of shops bars and restaurants. Close to the river and easy to find.
The rooms are dated and in need of some tlc. Be careful with the showers as when our shower door was opened you couldn't get to the cold tap so burnt myself trying to get the right temperature.

Not a good hotel overall
Posted 18 Sep 2022 on HotelsNice front desk person. Room very clean but extra small. Not even the room to Open one bag on the floor. No internet working in the bedroom. Impossible to get water at the right temperature in the shower, mixer does not work, you have to choose burning or cold! Also no insulation, we heard the neighbor toilet and dog barking on same floor. I do not believe this deserves 3 stars. On the positive side, great location

A convenient location for a stay in Chinon. The property is right in the heart of the town. On site restaurant, but lots of bars and restaurants very close by. The rooms are a bit small and basic, so if your looking for luxury this is not the hotel for you. If your looking for a good price and location and don't spend time in your room then it's OK.

Pros: Helpful on reception. Pleasant terrace to dine and have drinks. Car parking in the large car park opposite free of charge. Easy access to sights.
Hotel is in a good location with surprisingly short walks to the key sights. Parking opposite. Before market day advised by staff to move the car to a different section of the car park. Room adequate and clean. Fan to keep the room cool. Food in the restaurant OK. Pleasant to dine/drink on the terrace opposite. Only tried breakfast on day 1 and decided on day 2 to try elsewhere.

this is a nice hotel, clean, good breakfast. In the center of Chinon. However room was quite small and it was on the second floor (which is really the third) where we had to lug our luggage to, as there is no elevator. Good for young people on a budget.
