Well placed for walking to city centre. Free car park. Stayed on a Friday night, it was very quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast.

Dirty room with poor customer service.
Posted 10 Feb 2022 on HotelsI have stayed in a lot of different hotels in the last month, and if this is a 4 star hotel then the others were 7 or 8 star.
The first room we were given hadn’t been cleaned properly with crisps on the chair.
The bed sheets were torn and the mattress had dirt on it.
We were moved to another room wish was slightly better so we stayed although my wife wanted to check out immediately.
The bathroom in the second room looked good but the toilet didn’t flush well and the shower was very slippery.
The following morning I was woken at 08.30 am and told I would have to use my car as they were going to put up scaffolding.
I wasn’t impressed when I asked could it wait 30 minutes and was told no.
I did park my car close to the hotel as children were playing football in the centre of the car park and didn’t want my car damaged.
Not impressed I would not choose to return.

Nice rooms, don't bother with breakfast.
Posted 24 Jan 2022 on HotelsEasy to find and pleasant enough, room was well appointed but the TV didn't have sound, we don't really use it so no bother. Bed was pretty big so very comfy and the bathroom was very nice.
We paid for breakfast at nearly £18 for two i was expecting a decent choice. What we got was not very good at all, stone cold bacon, stone cold eggs and one stone cold hash brown. The beans were the only hot thing with the toast you cook yourself.

Great staff but basic facilities
Posted 24 Jan 2022 on HotelsStaff were lovely and the check in and out were quick and efficient. Several things in the room did not work but comfortable bed. The breakfast wasn’t great. The staff, though were all extremely helpful and cheerful.
