Comfortable
Posted 10 Jan 2024 on HotelsWe arrived at the hotel in the middle of a snow storm so we were pleased to have got there without incident. This is the 2nd time we have stayed there. The room was large and pleasantly warm, it was very cold outside. The patrons are very pleasant and welcoming. There is a bar attached to the hotel and it was good to get a drink on arrival.

This hotel was lovely to stay at with the owner being very friendly and accomodating, especially when it came to the language barrier as I speak mainly English. Hotel was very clean and presentable thanks for a lovely stay!

A convenient hotel
Posted 24 Oct 2023 on HotelsHotel Royal is a traditional hotel which as been modernised. The proprietors are welcoming and friendly. It is conveniently situated for the motorway. Unusually for a French hotel it has a kettle in the room. There is a bar attached to the hotel which is very pleasant and it is nice to have a drink on arrival. Please note there is no lift and although the staircase is wide it is steep. There is parking available but becsuse of the proximity to the railway station it is also good for rail travellers.

Pas surpris de cette note de 5 anglais irresponsables complètement IVRES qui sont repartis le matin sur leurs motos sans être desssoules. Ont fait des réservations de 3 chambres à grand lit, sur place voulaient chambres twean beds. Ont visité plusieurs chambres sans oublier d'utiliser les toilettes ou défaire les lits. Sont venus en France assister à match de rugby. Je plains mes collègues. Aucun respect.

A nice welcome on arrival. Small private carpark at rear. Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Short walk to the centre of town with its bars are restaurants. A little further is the amazing Chaumont viaduct.

Although this hotel is within easy walking distance of the centre of town it was easy to find and the parking was very good which made it a good stopping off point on a long drive to the south of France. I was welcomed nicely on arrival and the amenities were explained well. It was very quiet and spacious. The breakfast was good and it served my needs well.
