It hurts to give middling ratings. The staff and mgmt were friendly and helpful (eg, they gave me a room close to the reception check-in, they provided transport to the train station when no other option was available). The problem is while the crew might be good they need to run a tighter ship, The property is showing its age, it’s up the hill from the town and is oriented to large groups. As a solo, shoulder season guest, we, the few, are lost in the cracks of pre-season prep.

The best part of this resort is the restaurant. Donato our waiter was awesome and friendly. He went above and beyond to please us. He made our meal that much better. The food is outstanding. Everything we ate was delicious. The room was okay but we did experience some mold in the bathroom. When we told the staff, he just shrugged it off like it was nothing. One of the restaurants was closed for good and the resort had limited events. We only stayed one night so it was okay.

Disappointing, but with very accommodating staff.
Posted 19 Jul 2019 on HotelsWe booked two nights for a quiet get away in the South of Italy. The region was lovely, but the hotel was not what we were hoping for. It was a resort hotel, and if you are travelling with children this would be a lovely place to stay, with lots for them to do and a very nice pool.
We were in a room right next to some very loud entertainment that went on quite late into the night.
The management were very accommodating, and moved us to another room. Unfortunately, this new room had a faulty air conditioning unit and the room door did not lock.
Again the management were very accommodating, but it was an annoyance.
When we arrived, we were instructed to go down to the pool area for a welcome drink. This was a very sweet, fruity drink (only about two mouthfuls) and unnecessary.
Overall a disappointment for us.

A good place to stay in Leucas!
Posted 8 Aug 2016Staff is very pleasant and very professional. I had a double bedroom (they have flats too) a bit old fashion but clean, and cleaned daily. The view from the pool is amazing. Only downside the pool is salty, which is not the best experience when coming back from the sea. Breakfast is great, you have pretty much everything.

Nice hotel
Posted 10 Sep 2015 on HotelsWas a very nice hotel in a great location with some spectacular views! The staff are friendly and helpful, although when we arrived we parked in the north car park and carried our luggage all the way to reception. We were then given a room close to the north car park so we had to carry our luggage all the way back up again and the member of staff that showed us to our room didn't offer to help which was very disappointing. Overall was a lovely hotel and is great if you have a family.

Posted 10 Jun 2015 on HotelsWe had a nice quiet few days at Messapia. It was very hard to find but once we'd located it we were happy enough. It's not the most luxurious place on earth but it's clean. The breakfast wasn't much to speak of. Would have liked more fruit/cheese/meat options alongside the cakes, pastries and cereals (which I rarely eat). Otherwise it was an enjoyable stay at a very quiet time of year.

Posted 4 Jun 2013 on HotelsI can only imagine that they got the 4 star rating only because they classifies as a "resort" but be aware that it is very different from what you could expect from a 4 stars resort in the American way.
Location and cleaness are great, really cute structure.
The rooms though are quite bad. No windows,only a French door entrance that functional door and as the only window.
Furniture and decor is quite poor in quality and taste.
It is a clean and safe place though, just not luxurious at all and not what you'd expect from a 4 stars rated structure.
