Five star location, service, food and sleep!

First time in Castlebar and found this hotel to be a great location to stay in before my meeting next day. Whilst i arrived after 7pm and the restaurant kitchen closed at 7pm, I rang the reception and they offered me the choice to pre order a dinner - went for Roast Beef. On arrival check-in was very swift, my room was warm and comfortable and dinner when served was delicious. Quiet room with warm shower and great bed - so superb sleep enjoyed. Breakfast was delicious with nice choices on menu. Staff very courteous throughout stay - nothing too much. Thanks all!

Staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. Not much I liked; room wasn’t very clean when I checked in; dirty used eating utensils on the table.

Staff friendly and helpful. Had dinner here and food nice but service was all over the place. But in fairness they didn't charge us for my dessert due to the service. The waitress was rushed off her feet. Also there were cobwebs in restaurant and dead spider on wall hehind me. Found hotel cold. When we went down to breakfast we kept our coats on. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Overall our stay was okay.
