Great but a closed bar and restaurant in peak?
Posted 21 Jul 2022 on HotelsThis is a beautiful hotel and was great EXCEPT we stayed Sunday, Monday, Tuesday nights and no one told us the restaurant would be closed on Monday and Tuesday and that the bar would be closed on Tuesday as well!! The town is tiny all but one restaurant was closed on these days and it was full! When I asked where we could eat , I was told you get in your car and find somewhere which given we had been out all day we did not want to do . I have never stayed in a hotel where the bar was shut! The hotel seemed very busy so this made no sense. Why did no one tell me at booking or at check in that the restaurant and bar would be closed?

Fantastic pool. Gorgeous view of countryside. A courtyard made for morning writing or an afternoon nap/drink under an olive tree. Serene. Situated in a small, quiet and quaint hilltop town. We’d return in a heartbeat! We’d return in a heartbeat!!

Not up to standard, especially the food
Posted 7 Jul 2019 on HotelsBeautiful hotel with very comfortable rooms. However, the food was really not good value for money (especially breakfast) and the drinks are extremely over priced. There’s a delicious restaurant round the corner where you can get steak and bottle of wine for half the price of a meal with one gin and tonic at Le Vieux.
Also, better care could be taken to keep the pool area clean. When we came down each morning it was not clean, there were dirty glasses, champagne corks etc lying around from night before, and no clean towels were available, only yesterday’s dirty ones.
For the price, this should be a perfect stay, but its not

We are really happy you enjoyed the hotel and its bedrooms.
Regarding the breakfast, we offer a complete buffet with fruits, bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, breads ( 3 different kind of breads ), home-made pastries ( changing every 2 days ) fresh cheese, assorted cheeses, ham ( cooked and raw ), croissants, chocolate breads, raisin breads, cereals ( 3 different kind of cereals ), seeds ( 4 different kind of seeds ) fresh orange and grapefruit juice, marmelade, honey, chocolate spread, boiled eggs, yoghurts ( nature and fruits )..
According to our prices that you compare to the restaurant round the corner, the only restaurant round the corner is more expensive than ours, or may-be you mention the village bar, which doesn’t propose the same kind of fresh food or location.
We thank you to draw our attention on the pool which is cleaned each morning at 08.00 Am and all day long, our pool remains open whole night to allow our guests to finish their drink after dinner beside the pool and some clients come late in the night or early in the morning, we will remind our nigh Auditor to check this part of the hotel and clean it if necessary.
