Wonderful host made us feel right at home in a comfortable spacious room. A couple small concerns were addressed promptly. Breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed the company of another couple who were eating at the same time. It is a farm B&B so don’t expect a gas station or grocer in the immediate area, but the Long Dock restaurant is a 5 minute drive away and excellent.

As good as a B&B gets
Posted 20 Jun 2023 on HotelsThis place has it all - quiet, beautiful location, great rooms, incredibly tasty breakfast, a very friendly and helpful host, a games room with pool table, darts, etc and is fantastic value too. Can't recommend it enough.

We LOVED our stay here! Mary is an absolute gem and I cannot speak highly enough about her hospitality - or her cooking. She greeted us with cake when we arrived and we had made-to-order breakfast in the morning. I had French toast, my mom had pancakes, and she even made yogurt parfaits with granola and stewed fruit as a starter - and every single thing we ate was better than the next!
The property is in a perfect location for anyone looking to take a break from the large crowds of tourists, all while still spending time in someplace beautiful. We stayed here as a stopover after visiting Loop Head, which isn’t as heavily advertised as some of the other locations on the Wild Atlantic Way, but is equally as mind-blowing. The village of Carrigaholt is quiet and peaceful, with a few pubs on the main road through the village if you’re looking for some dinner nearby (the place we went to had great seafood).
We loved the farmhouse vibe of Glencarrig and the cute little cows they had on the property! Our room was clean and cozy, and there was plenty of seating in the common areas for planning out the next leg of our travels. This was easily one of our favorite B&Bs that we stayed at on our trip and we will definitely be back on our next visit to Ireland!
