"The fireplace was very nice when the fog rolled in. Bed was very comfortable and linens top quality. If you need a room on the ground floor, you MUST request it. They do not have accessible rooms. We had a disabled 82 year old who had to climb16 stairs on a cane. We asked to be placed downstairs and was told no rooms available, yet most checked in after us and were on the ground floor. The front desk was NOT accommodating. Lesson learned, request specific needs. Very clean room, not a new place but quaint and nice. Also, we booked for 2 couples, yet our rooms were not close at all. Won’t stay there again, too many other choices."

"Staff and service were impeccable! Don’t remember when hotel staff was so helpful and followed through on requests in recent years like this hotel. We had a balcony room with a view of the pacific coast. Watched a beautiful sunset from the privacy of our own room. Restaurant on-site was also a treat. Beautiful facility overlooking the ocean and great food. Will definitely stay at the hotel on any future trips to Carmel."

Vendange Carmel Inn & Suites

10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful inn. Friendly and efficient staff. Very clean. Great amenities. We stayed for four days in mid-August 2026 and rented a cottage which was wonderful. Lots of space with a living room / bedroom area: big comfy king sized bed, night stands, drawers, shelf space, flat-screen TV, couch, coffee table, AC / heater, fridge / freezer, microwave, coffee maker, table and chairs, and closet with (iron)ing board. It also had a very large bathroom with hot tub and a separate shower. The inn supplied bath salts, makeup remover wipes, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, a hair dryer, and plenty of towels. Outside there were lovely grounds with flowers, trees, plants, and various places to sit and relax. Parking was off street and readily available. The surrounding town, Carmel-By-The-Sea, is delightful and sophisticated with plenty of restaurants and shops. My wife and I enjoyed our stay immensely!"
