Well, this place is an absolute gem. We were there for only one night but left the next morning feeling like we had known the owners (Anya and Charles) for a long time. Charles said he and his wife bought the property 6 years ago due primarily to his/their passion for all things related to World War II. Boy does it show ...... authentic WWII regalia is everywhere. Our room (HQ1) was charming to say the least. I assume the other 6 rooms are as well. The breakfast is terrific and served in a portion of what is now their primary living area. The ONLY downside I can think of is that local dining options (even for sandwiches or salads) is limited. The one place a few minutes away was closed the night we visited. In any case, if you are ever in the Saint Mere Eglise area (10km away) or near Utah Beach, I highly encourage you to check out Domaine Airborne.

The location, the quiet, the “ World War 2 theme setting”- the marvellous breakfast and the owner was just great to meet and chat with - wish we had more time to experience everything at the site !

Highly recommended!
Posted 10 Sep 2022 on HotelsHad a wonderful stay here for our last day, the hosts were really accommodating and polite, the room (we stayed in Barrack I) was brilliant and spotless, and the breakfast superb! It is decorated in a really classy and considered way rather than being cheesy or over the top. We will definitely go back!
