This is a cute, no-frills place run by very nice locals. It is and old landmark of some kind that has seen more famous days, but still remains charming. Very clean, however I would hope they replace the carpets at least in my third-floor room not that it was bad, just so old. Staff couldn't warmer and nicer. Super clean! No lifts so if you don't want to lug your luggage up narrow staircases don't go for top floors although my room was quiet considering the busy night life below. Near everything, on a walking street, a few minutes from the train, but a 1/2 hour walk to the waterfront. So, either bike, taxi or walk your choice for that. Furnishings are a bit dorm-room style. However, for the price and location, and a short term stay, it is very nice.

Perfect hotel in the center of Cardiff. Truly the best hospitality in UK. The hotel staff treats you like their own family. Walkable distance to Cardiff castle, cardiff market and stadium and station. I will come again

Staff, particularly Allison, were wonderful. Good location. All basic needs were met. Room was clean. Hotel a bit worn. Also have to go up 20 stairs to lobby, so maybe not so great for older folks.
