Nice stay
Posted 29 Feb 2024 on HotelsI had a fine stay, the best thing about the hotel was the staff who were super kind, friendly, welcoming & helpful and secondly its location. Generally the rooms were nice but it requires a bit of fixing/refurbishment. We had three rooms, my room was very warm so I couldn’t sleep in it.
Campione was very quiet, but it might be due to the timing of my visit (late February)

Campione is located across the lake from Lugano in an Italian enclave that goes back centuries. Quieter and more intimate than Lugano. There is a large and modern Casino located a few hundred meters from the hotel that has entertainment, if that appeals to you. A very caring staff that anticipated every need. Spectacular view of the Lake. A romantic setting, if that is what you want.
Great breakfast and a fine dinner restaurant.
They were very helpful about making way in front of the hotel for convenient parking of my vehicle.

Modern design beautiful and spacious room. Welcome drinks and fingerfoods was really delicious. I tried everything on breakfast and everything was really yummy. Coffee also was great, actually the best coffee I had in Italy so far. View of the lake is amazing though .

The first room had wet carpets from bathroom leak. Shower situation needs to be reworked, since 3rd room had similar water stains.
Moved to much smaller room for the night.
Next morning moved to same big luxury room we booked.
Nice welcome drink and snack!
Very nice people.
Beautiful breakfast. Room we booked was very large and nice.
